1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Unleashed Canine Academy Pty Ltd (“Unleashed”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses your personal information when you use the Unleashed Canine Academy mobile application (the “App”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Information we collect

We collect the following information:

• Account information: your name and email address.
• Dog profiles: information you provide about your dog(s), such as name, breed, date of birth, weight, temperament, medical and behavioural notes, training skills, and cues.
• Videos and content: homework videos you submit, and records of which lessons you have viewed.
• Messages: discussion messages you exchange with your trainer within the App.
• Device & technical information: a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), app version, device type, and diagnostic/error data used to keep the App stable.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• provide and operate the App and the training service;
• share training content with you and review the homework you submit;
• enable discussion between you and your trainer;
• send you push notifications about new lessons, homework feedback, and messages;
• diagnose problems, improve the App, and maintain its security; and
• use submitted homework content for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

4. Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the App. Your information may be stored or processed by:

• Bunny.net (Bunny Stream) — hosting, processing, and delivery of video content;
• Railway — hosting of our application servers and database;
• Expo — delivery of push notifications;
• Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.

These providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information appropriately.

5. Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We only disclose it to the service providers listed above, where required by law, or with your consent (for example, the use of homework content for promotion as set out in our Terms).

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us (see below). Some information may be retained where required by law.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of credentials and secure transmission of data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may request its deletion. To do so, please contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.

9. Children

The App is intended for use by adults (18+) who are clients of Unleashed and is not directed at children. Other members of your household, including children, may appear in homework videos you submit. By submitting this content, you confirm you have the consent of, or authority to consent on behalf of, anyone who appears in it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
